Summer Lovin’ Happened So Fast… Grease soundtrack anyone? That has to be one of my all time favourite movies, it always has me singing along! Anyways… I hope y’all are having the best weekend and enjoying the last few weeks of summer. I am feeling a little sad that it’s almost over, it always goes by so fast! The sunshine never sticks around long enough, that’s what really brings me down. Vancouver is always so grey and rainy [depressing if you ask me.] It would be nice to have blue skies more than two months out of the year to enjoy our beautiful city.
I have one more little road trip planned next weekend and I am super excited to head back home and see some old [but the best of] friends and spend time with my family on the beach! My parents have been renovating my grandparents beach house, so I am looking forward to seeing how it is coming along! There’s something about the island that always has me feeling relaxed and less stressed as soon as I get off the ferry and start driving. It’s so peaceful. None of that crazy Vancouver traffic or busy everywhere you go business, just pure relaxation and straight highway driving all the way there. On top of that, it takes less than 10 minutes to drive into town in Campbell River which is unheard of here in Vancouver –especially with the bridge traffic, good luck! That being said, the lack of opportunity in CR is a huge reason why I am so glad to be living in the city, even if it is expensive! There are always going to be pros and cons wherever you live; I feel so lucky to have moved to Vancouver when I did because I gained experience and had more opportunities than I would have in CR, and to have met the people that are now in my life [you all know who you are!]
Have the best weekend everyone!
